Dua belas tahun tanpa membuat album, tahun ini ikon pop-punk dari California, Descendents, mengumumkan album terbarunya yang bertajuk, Hypercaffium Spazzinate. Album ini akan diliris pada 29 Juli mendatang oleh Epitaph Records. Milo, Bill, Stephen, dan Karl menghabiskan waktu selama tiga tahun untuk proses rekaman album ini. Album terakhir yang mereka rilis adalah  Cool to Be You (2004).

Milo Aukerman sang vokalis memberikan statement-nya, “Having the freedom to completely blow my voice out every time I recorded was a very positive experience for me,”
